At Jelprint Luton, we take sustainability very seriously. We want you to know that when you choose us to be your print supplier, you can rest assured that we are doing what we can to make our print shop environmentally friendly.

The FSC® Supply Chain
You’ll be pleased to know that we only use wood based materials that are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC). This means that you can trace all our paper and cardboard production back to sustainably managed forests. The FSC are an international NGO dedicated to conserving the world’s forest resources and protecting the rights of workers, communities, and indigenous peoples connected to the forests.
Waste Management
As you can imagine for a printing company, paper and cardboard are our main forms of waste.
Thankfully, we are able to recycle all of this through recycling excess paper and cardboard and taking it to recycling tips. The landfill waste we produce is practically non existent.
We also recycle our litho printing plates, our plastic packaging (where allowed), and our electronic waste.
By estimation, 97% of our material waste is recycled and 82% of our chemical waste is also recycled.
Sustainability in the Office
There is still a lot that we do to reduce waste and promote sustainability. All of our office PCs are upgraded to implement automatic shutdowns every night. We have also invested in energy-efficient air conditioning and LED lighting.
Sustainability is a journey
We have enjoyed finding solutions that work for us (like using paper tape on most of our packaging) and re-using cardboard boxes where possible .
We know that there is a lot left to achieve but we’re committed to keep working at it.
We are open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.30pm and close at 5pm on Fridays.

For those who are familiar with supplying professional artwork, we require a 3mm bleed all around. Supplied as a ‘cmyk’ pdf with crop marks.
If you send in your artwork in its original format using the program you used to create the artwork, we will make it ‘Print ready’ from our Luton print shop.
We will always supply you with proofs of your artwork before print.

If you have created your artwork online using ‘Canva’, rather than saving as a low quality png file please download your file as a ‘PDF FOR PRINT’ and click on the check marks to ‘ADD CROP MARKS & BLEED’. This will save the file in the best possible quality for printing.

At Jelprint you can choose from natural or recycled papers for your printing in paperweights from 80 to 450gsm - for guaranteed environmentally friendly letterheads, brochures, flyers, folders, business cards, postcards, compliment slips, asian & indian wedding invitations, funeral books and many more.
Recycled paper consists of 100% recycled used paper. As well as saving wood resources, in comparison with conventional paper production, more than 70% of the energy and water used is saved, In short: Recycled paper significantly protects the environment.

All paper and card that is not coated during its manufacturing process, is known as natural paper.
So natural paper is an uncoated paper, which gives the print product a very good level of opacity and a vivid and high-class look and feel.
